The Life of Faith – An Adventure with God

Our longing for adventures is not an accident. This is what we are created for. Our life on this earth is a great adventure and journey. It contains all the elements of an adventurous story – a protagonist, villain (s), allies, incidents, betrayal, difficulties to overcome, and discoveries. Climaxes are also present. And most importantly: through adventure, the protagonist experiences a metamorphosis. The adventure transforms him. He rediscovers himself and gets a new understanding of things.

God invites us to the greatest possible adventure – the life of faith. He gives us His Spirit as our Companion, Counselor, Comforter, Helper, Best Friend, and Source of Power. The adventure is full of dangers, difficulties, unexpected turns, and losses. It is unpredictable and risky. We learn that we have no control over the outcome and the other characters. We are also learning to continue despite the risk and fear; not to surrender and to follow God with confidence in the places where He leads us.

When we say YES to God’s invitation and decide to take the risk of trusting Him, the adventure begins. Faith is the ticket that allows us to participate. The goal is to find the hidden treasure of Life, Truth, and Love. Adventure is a way of arriving and returning – to the true, eternal things, to God, to oneself, and others.

Designed for Adventures – the Willingness

Are we ready for adventures and action? Can we resolve to expose ourselves to dangers and losses to fulfill the longings of our hearts? Are we ready for new, unusual, and risky things?

Let’s dare and take the risk of faith, let’s not stop and do not give up despite the difficulties! God promises that the adventure and the way it ends will surpass our expectations. The main character of our personal story will be a thousandfold rewarded and compensated for everything experienced. Moreover, his little story will become part of the greatest love story, the story of the eternal God, and His unquenchable love for each one of us. This is the story of redemption and restoration.

The Way is Open and Waiting

God’s will is to live truly and to trust Him in the LIFE adventure. He wants us to be successful in everything He has purposed. In Christ, He has already provided us with the necessary equipment, weapons, help, and means to successfully pass through every step to the end.

Let us not be afraid of the new and the unknown that lies before us. Because we are not alone. The way is open and waiting for us.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)
